Simonside Country Fair 2010
DKSoHD's first visit to this fair was another huge success and everyone who went along enjoyed not only the Highland Dancing but also the various other events going on; and the adjacent Pub (for some of the adults).
''New visitors to the Fair from Blyth, the Donna Kimberley School of Highland Dancing, proved a very popular hit.   The troupe of young dancers, beautifully costumed, gave two very fleet-footed performances and showed real expertise with the some of the trickier Highland steps and a display of swords.  We'll certainly hope to welcome them back next year, their performance really lit up the wrestling ring - prior to the young wrestling contenders arriving, of course. '

XIII Worldfolkdance Festival 2009

Our second trip to this festival as well, but this time the weather was more kind than on our first visit two years ago when it rained almost everyday. The glorious weather combined with the fact that we were accomodated in the 4star Taurus Park Hotel ensured everyone that went on the trip had a brilliant time and as usual the dancers did us proud at both the international competition and in the street displays.more>>>
